Her beloved dance designs have been commissioned by The Limón Dance Foundation, BalletTech, Neta Pulvermacher, and The Isadora Duncan Foundation.
She has designed for Bebe Neuwirth, Kate Burton, and Alan Cumming, among other talented performers, and has taught master classes in design at Fordham University in Manhattan, as well as designed at several universities. She has a B.A. in theatre and psychology from Brown University and an M.F.A. from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
You may see her designs for the premiere of Michael Delaira's opera adaptation of Joseph Conrad's Secret Agent in March 2011 with the Center for Contemporary Opera, directed by Sam Helfrich, in a production also destined for France and Hungary. Her designs for Jonathan Fredrickson's beautiful piece Chrysalis will perform with the Limón Dance Company's New York season in June.
She lives in Manhattan with her husband, Jonathan Newman, a composer, their daughter Amelia, and 2 black and white cats.
